Amy And The Butterflies

Jandrea

Ms. Amy Parent of Willow Dr. NE gifted some plastic butterflies to Andrea Fabbro, her neighbor down the street, with the expectation that Fabbro would place them in her garden. As Andrea has no use for gaudy, plastic trinkets or suggestions from weirdly obessive, mildly stalkerish near-strangers on how to decorate, she had ignored a text offering the butterflies for several weeks until Amy finally decided to just leave them at the garden gate and periodically check in with Fabbro's husband, Jan, to make sure she had recieved them. As Amy frequently walks her dog past the garden, Andrea has had to make many frequent dashes into the house to avoid questions about when the butterflies will be on display.

Parent had previously taken credit for the fact that Fabbro had decided to put a fence around her garden by suggesting that Andrea wouldn't have known there were deer in the area if it hadn't been for a text from her. On another occasion, she had purchased some semitruck brake drums from Jan to use as planters, but when the time came to pay the $30 she had offered, she instead showed up with $20 and a bag of dollar store candy.

During floods and power outages, Amy often offers her living room as a refuge and has expressed interest in attending future bonfires in Andrea and Jan's backyard. There has been no comment from the couple about whether or not they have extended an invite.
